A classy and understated shoe
It goes without saying, but the city of Berlin is incredibly close to the heart of adidas. This upcoming limited edition release of the adidas adidas nmd r1 primeknit EQT Support 93/17 Boost celebrates the BVG aka the Berlin Verkehrsbetriebe, the city’s primary mode of public transport. It features the colorful camouflage-style graphic on the exterior heel of the shoes, a mock train ticket on the tongue, and additional surrounding details that pay tribute to this vital tool for connection, but what makes these extra special is that when the shoes are worn, they act as valid ticketing for all BVG vehicles from January 16th through the rest of the year. adidas confirms that only 500 pairs will release exclusively at Overkill in Berlin, with an MSRP of 180 Euro.
Featuring a mesh upper with a one-piece welded synthetic suede overlay and finished off with trefoil branding signature plugs. The grippy Gum outsole, textile lining and tonal laces are among the additional details.
That’s right, the most hyped shoe of the summer is getting yet another stunning iteration. We’re really not sure how we’re going to resist adding these to our collection. While this isn’t the first NMD R1 adidas nmd trainers to come out in white (see the Mesh and ‘Triple White’ versions), it is the first white NMD to feature the signature red and blue inserts.
Already dubbed an “OG” release by sneaker fans, you can be sure this shoe will go fast. Not content with giving us a new R1 colourway, Adidas have thrown in a CS1 in black for good measure.A black Primeknit upper sits on a classic white Boost sole with blue and black inserts. A classy and understated shoe.
